The IMO NEWMAP under the able leadership of His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodinma has again achieved a major milestone by signing the contract for procurement of a contractor for the construction and remediation of Umueze Obazu-Mbieri gully erosion site.
The event which had in attendance the State Technical Committee Chairman in the person of Ag. Permanent Secretary Ministry of Environment Mrs. Sabina Nwachi who appealed to the construction firm, FWE Construction Company to ensure speedy delivery of the job within stipulated timeline and also charged them to deliver quality Project to the State Government.
The Ag. Permanent Secretary informed the State Co-ordinator IMO NEWMAP (Engr. Victor Anueyiagu) of the Ministry of Environment’s commitment towards ensuring the Project was delivered hitch free.
The State Co-ordinator IMO NEWMAP Engr. Victor Anueyiagu in his remarks reminded the Contractor of the need to deliver quality work and encouraged them to ensure work on site is handled with increased speed in other to have the Project delivered within the stipulated time of completion.
The Chairman of FWE Construction Company Bar. Henry Ojinere in his acceptance remarks thanked the Ag. Permanent Secretary Mrs Nwachi and also members of the SPMU for the transparent process that brought them on board as the successful construction company for the job. He promised that his company will deliver quality job within the given time limit.
